Embed 5 Fast is the low-latency tier of Cohere’s Embed 5, meant for embedding live queries at lower cost. Both Embed 5 tiers share one embedding space, so documents indexed with Pro can be queried with Fast. They embed text, images and mixed pages in 100+ languages with a 128K-token input, and return Matryoshka vectors from 256 to 2048 dimensions. Cohere reports slightly lower quality than Pro (vendor-reported).
